S.U. Sakıp Sabancı Museum and Turkcell came together for a collaboration aimed at bringing the sense of modern museum studies in Turkey forward. The signing ceremony was attended by Güler Sabancı, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of S.U. Sakıp Sabancı Museum, and Süreyya Ciliv, General Manager of Turkcell. At the meeting where the scope of the collaboration was explained, the application developed for the museum was introduced to the art-lovers as well.
S.U. Sakıp Sabancı Museum, one of the most valuable representatives of modern museum studies in Turkey and Turkcell, which transforms communication technologies into human-friendly solutions, came together in a collaboration which brings technology with art. The details of the collaboration were announced in the signing ceremony held at Sakıp Sabancı Museum on Wednesday, October 15. Thanks to the application specially developed for the museum by Turkcell and S.U. Sakıp Sabancı Museum, visitors can easily access to the information about any event. With the application, the details of the collections at the S.U. Sakıp Sabancı Museum and scheduled events can be selected; past exhibitions, trainings and news about the museum can be quickly accessed. Users can share any event, collection, exhibitions and news they want on social media. Thanks to the application, the events to be held at the museum can be added to personal calendar, and the feature of reminder can be used.
Special day for the mothers with strollers and their babies
As part of the collaboration, a day in every week will be celebrated as the Mothers with Strollers Day. The visitors of the museum can take advantage of the Turkcell Platinum Mothers with Strollers Day on weekdays and on the weekend, on Thursday in one week and on Saturday in one week. In the half-hour program prepared for 0-18 month old babies, observations are made in front of the selected works together with trainers and the effect of the colors on babies is observed. In another one-hour exercise performed with 18-36 month old children, the printouts of the works are given to children and part matching activities are performed, also accompanied by trainers. Children and their mothers can also participate in workshops such as memory games, touching the textures and portrait studies etc. On these special days, fathers accompanying mothers who are Turkcell Platinum customers can also enter the museum free of charge. Following the event, mothers and children are encouraged to stroll around the garden in the open air and are enabled to have a museum experience in the museum garden like their strolls in the park.
Free of charge for gnctrkcll members on the first Saturday every month
Turkcell and S.U. Sakıp Sabancı Museum have not forgotten the young either. Accordingly, the first Saturday every month has been declared as gnctrkcll day. The young who are Gnctrkcll members can now enter the museum free of charge on this day exclusive to them.
