For the first time in Turkey, a brand will make its way to a course syllabus at a university, as part of the university-industry collaboration. The first step towards this project was taken at the signing ceremony held at the Haydarpaşa Campus of Marmara University, joined by Marmara University Rector Prof. Zafer Gül, Sabancı Holding Human Resources Group President Neriman Ülsever, Marmara University Business Administration Faculty Dean Prof. A. Ercan Gegez and Sabancı Holding Corporate Communications Director Suat Özyaprak. With this protocol, students will receive the "Sabancı Business Administration Seminars" course starting from the 2013-2014 education year.

At the credit course called "Sabancı Business Administration Seminars", the fourth-grade students at the Business Administration Faculty of Marmara University will meet with Sabancı Group's top managers as part of a syllabus and will take their first step into the professional world of business through their guidance. To be launched in the next education year on a credit basis, the course will include various topics from marketing to finance, human resources and corporate communication.

On the subject, Marmara University Rector Prof. Zafer Gül said: "A pioneer in many areas, our university breaks a new ground in another field. I am proud of this. This collaboration between Turkey's strong brand Sabancı and our Faculty of Business Administration is a candidate to become the most successful example of University-Industry collaboration. This is a significant opportunity for our students to acquire a broad vision, capture new potentials and combine theory with practice. Thanks to this, our students will certainly feel safer while stepping into the professional life after graduation. For their innovative and development-driven approach, I would like to thank both sides who enabled this cooperation.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Sabancı Holding Human Resources Group President Neriman Ülsever remarked: "This is the first example of a protocol of this kind in Turkey. We are proud that this example which is frequently seen in other countries is now practiced in Turkey, pioneered by the Sabancı brand. I believe that a large number of companies from the professional business life will carry on with this model, introducing our students to the professional world and preparing them to the business life in the best way possible.

I am sure that "Sabancı Business Administration Seminars" will be one of the most significant guiding lights for the students of Faculty of Business Administration at Marmara University. Many top managers from the Group are already thrilled to be a part of this initiative. With "Sabancı Business Administration Seminars", we aim to introduce practice to our young people who already have the theoretical qualities. As part of this course that will continue through various topics for a whole term, our essential objective is to provide a head start for the students into the professional life."

"Sabancı Business Administration Seminars" will start in the spring term of the 2013-2014 education year. A certain number of students to successfully complete the course will be eligible for a contract employment opportunity within the Sabancı Group. Therefore, university students will get the chance to start the professional business life with a significant starting step, even before graduation.
