Temsa, subsidiary of Sabancı Holding, received the grand prize for the "Innovation Resources" category of Inovalig Awards organized by the Turkish Exporters' Assembly as part of the 5th Innovation Week. The award was given to Güler Sabancı, Chairman of Sabancı Holding, by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Güler Sabancı said: "As Sabancı of Turkey, we believe our most significant responsibility is to create value for our country. In the ever-changing world and the challenging competitive environment, the companies that produce new information, renew themselves continuously, develop technology and diversify their products and services can be the winners. We believe that, as the world experiences the Industry 4.0 revolution, Turkey can make a difference in this global competition through innovation. Therefore, we have made our mindset for innovation an inseparable part of our culture since 2004. Today, our companies are in a position where they can manufacture all around the world from Indonesia to the USA, and sell their products even in the Silicon Valley thanks to this strategic understanding. The grand prize of Inovalig awarded to Temsa today is an indicator that our innovation journey is continuing with success. The award we receive today has encouraged us further to increase the current 50% export rate of Temsa to 80% in the near future. I would like to wholeheartedly congratulate all colleagues who contributed to this accomplishment."
The Special Prize for Customer-Oriented Solutions was also awarded to Sabancı Holding
The Special Prize for "Customer-Oriented Solutions" was awarded to Sabancı Holding in TIM Innovation Awards within the Turkish Innovation Week. The award was received on behalf of Sabancı Holding by Mehmet Hacıkamiloğlu, the Industry Group President.
Reminder: Temsa continues to break ground with its vision of being an R&D and innovation-oriented technology company. Temsa has manufactured the first smart bus of Turkey in 2015, and launched the first 100% domestic-production, 100% electrical bus as well, in cooperation with Aselsan last week.
