Today, I am here representing more than 64,000 employees of the Sabancı Group in Turkey and all over the world and making this speech. It is our common sense that his moral existence, ambition and sincerity are still with us despite all these elapsing years after his death. Mr. Sakıp taught us a lot with his positive energy, different perspective and business manner. Today, the Sabancı Group is successfully proceeding on the way paved by him.

The fact that today’s young people who were children when Mr. Sakıp died know his name and like him shows that he left a very valuable legacy to us. That legacy is love and fellowship. We promise we will transfer this legacy of him to the next generations as long as we exist.

Mr. Sakıp said ‘Fortunately I ran, I worked. I wish I could work more and run longer. For a more beautiful and more successful Turkey…’ He was always a source of price for the Sabancı Group with his hard work and vision. He inspired us for the better. On this occasion, we commemorate him with longing and grace once more.”
