Sabancı Centre is once again turned orange to support the fight against violence against women
Sabancı Holding and Akbank are supporting the call of “Let’s turn the world to orange: the wish to eliminate violence against women and girls” which is organised on a yearly basis between November 25th and December 10th across the world, under the leadership of the United Nations Secretary General, and whose theme for the year of 2017 has been determined to be “Leave nobody behind: Put an end to violence against women and girls”.
Within the scope of the campaign, the Sabancı Centre which is one of the symbolic structures of İstanbul, was lit in orange on the evening of November 25th, the start date of the campaign, in order to draw attention to violence against women and raise awareness in this respect.
The campaign started on November 25th which is the “International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women” of the United Nations and continues to December 10th, the World Human Rights Day.
The Sabancı Holding has been carrying out various activities through the companies within the Group and the Sabancı Foundation for many years in order to strengthen the position of women in society, in all areas.
