The consolidated sales of Sabancı Holding amounted to 30.372 Billion TL with a 24% increase in the first six months of 2019, in comparison with the same period of the previous year. The consolidated operating profit of Sabancı Holding was 4.903 Billion TL in the first six months of 2019. The total assets of Sabancı Holding reached 394.190 Billion TL and its total consolidated equity belonging to the parent company was 30.523 Billion TL in the first six months of 2019.

Sabancı Holding announced its financial results for the first six months of 2019. Mr. Cenk Alper, the CEO of Sabancı Holding, reported the following in his explanation of the numbers, “As the Sabancı Group, we have completed the first half of 2019 with our priority of creating value both for our stakeholders and the country. We have strengthened our equity thanks to the importance we attach to risk management and our cash-oriented approach.

We increased our sales in the business line of energy at the rate of 25% in the first half of 2019. We also took advantage of our well-balanced energy portfolio and our services with a focus on energy security in Turkey in this period. Enerjisa Üretim achieved a substantial increase in its net profit with the positive impact of the high acceleration in its operational performance, and its strong financial position in comparison with the previous year, mainly based on hydroelectricity generation. Furthermore, we achieved the potential of increasing our total capacity to 4.107 MW thanks to the 500 MW capacity won by Enerjisa Üretim in Aydın and Çanakkale regions as a result of the tender of Wind Renewable Energy Resource Areas (YEKA), organised for the second time. We believe that we will experience the positive impact of this achievement in the upcoming period.

On the industry side, we included Axiom Materials in our structure and took Kordsa to a challenging position in the field of ceramic matrix composites. Kordsa has been converted into a company producing advanced material technologies at a global scale as a result of its acquisitions in the field of composite materials and we are continuing our investments in Turkey. We have recently commissioned an additional polyester thread line in our İzmit factory with a 100 million TL investment.

We strengthened our position in foreign markets with the acquisition of Bunol in our business line of cement and we will maintain our export activities as well. In the insurance industry, effective fund management enabled us to have fruitful results. Our companies continued their activities in compliance with our digital transformation roadmap under the leadership of SabancıDx.

We will continue to work and produce for the purpose of creating value for our stakeholders without deviating from our strategic goals, in line with our dynamic portfolio management and technology focus as required by our vision of “Sabancı of the New Generation” in the upcoming period as well.”
