What is Sabancı Volunteers Programme?
Sabancı Volunteers is one of the largest corporate volunteering programs throughout the whole Sabancı Group. The program covers awareness trainings and social projects to be carried out through volunteer teams for all Sabancı Group employees. The scope of this three-year three-phase program focuses on the problems faced by women, youth and disabled people.
Under this program launched in 2015, volunteering Sabancı Group employees across Turkey are offered various trainings under main headings such as civil society, working with volunteers and project management processes. Since its launch, Sabancı Volunteers have implemented 71 projects and over 2,000 women and youth benefitted from these projects. In addition, more than 40,000 Sabancı employees participated to the online training on gender inequality within the scope of the program.
Since the launch of the program, it received various awards in Turkey and abroad such as the Private Sector Volunteers Association/Best Corporate Volunteering Program, Turkish Confederation of Employer Associations/Gender Equality Special Award, PeerAwards (UK) Contribution to Society Grand Prize.
Sabancı Volunteers was selected as the example program from Turkey by United Nations.
