ABOUT MD9 ELECTRICITY
It also reduces the noise pollution
Developed by Temsa in accordance with the needs of the transportation industry, MD9 electriCITY is electrically driven using sustainable energy instead of fossil fuels and also makes a great contribution to the reduction of noise pollution in cities with its silent system.
Standing out with its energy consumption, environmental awareness and efficiency characteristics, MD9 electriCITY can complete its route by way of short time charging at stops or terminals.
The design, software, component assembly and vehicle dynamics of the bus were fully developed by Temsa.
It has a range of 230 kilometres
With a capacity of 63 passengers, MD9 electriCITY provides the opportunity of quick passenger drop-off and pick-up thanks to its three doors.
There are about 300 moving parts in a vehicle driven by diesel fuel and this number reduces to 5 for an electrically driven vehicle.
With a range of 230 km with its 200kwh battery, this bus can be charged in 6 hours.
The local content level of the bus is currently at 60 percent and it is planned to increase it to 98 percent upon the commencement of production of the battery, engine and axles in Turkey in 2020.
